Project Description:
12 teams were each assigned to build a remote controlled hovercraft, and a unique controller for their craft. The hovercrafts (SPECTREs) had to carry a balloon and mechanism for popping other balloons. Each SPECTRE also had to be capable of sensing the state of its own balloon. The controllers (MI6s) could target and pair with any team's SPECTRE.
For the competition, two teams were tasked with destroying the DrEd Star, a, uncontrolled hovercraft with 6 balloons. Two opposing teams were assigned as defenders for the DrEd Star. If any team's balloon were popped, that SPECTRE would become "mind controlled" by DrEd, and any team with a free MI6 controller could choose to pair with and control the free SPECTRE.
